Finding a Therapist

Finding the right therapist is an essential piece of psychotherapy. My hope is that this website can give you some sense of who I am, what services I provide, and how we might work together as therapist and client. Please feel free to browse these pages and contact me (as questions arise) with any questions that you might have. I offer psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adult individuals and couples. I have experience in treating people with assorted concerns including: anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, anger management, chronic pain and illness, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), relationship issues, parenting concerns, and many other mental health issues. If you have never been in therapy before, here’s how it works. Typically people come once a week for their session. When there is a crisis sometimes more sessions during the week are necessary. During our first meeting we talk about your goals for treatment and what you are looking for in a therapist. I also tell you about my style and philosophy in working with clients. Then we decide if it is a good fit and if appropriate begin a working relationship.

Working together in therapy can and will help you if you want to take responsibility for your own life, health, relationships, and success. You see that something has to change and that you need a new approach to help you make that change. You’ve had enough pain (mental and/or physical) and are committed to doing whatever it takes to let it go for good. You are committed to  making change for the better for yourself, as well as for your family, friends, and colleagues. You are willing to let go of old ways, behaviors, and habits and try new things. You are aware that you need to invest time, energy, and money in yourself to become the best that you can be.


It is my sincere wish to provide you with the quality mental health care you expect and deserve. As you know, health care can often be an unexpected expense. My hope is that this will become one of the most beneficial investments you have made in yourself. Payment for services is an important part of any professional relationship. 

I am a provider for many major insurance companies. I am also a Medicare and Idaho Medicaid (Optum) Provider. My office will bill your insurance company as a courtesy to you. If you have medical insurance please call your company to check your benefits prior to our first meeting, as this will help us to avoid any unnecessary difficulties.  Please contact my office if you have any questions regarding pricing information.
