I attended Utah Valley State College where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, before moving on to complete my Master’s and Doctorate (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University Phoenix. Over the years, I have gained valuable experiences while working as a therapist in elementary and junior high schools, a Federal Corrections Institution, and a community counseling center. I completed my pre-doctoral internship here locally at a counseling center, where I gained valuable experiencing working with children, adolescents, and their families. I grew to love the area and chose to move into full-time private practice here in Boise.
Allow me to introduce myself and my approach to treatment. My primary orientation for therapy is Cognitive Behavioral (CBT). Consequently, my approach is directive goal oriented, and solution focused promoting rational thinking, healthy coping skills, positive self-esteem, and beneficial behaviors. Using a collaborative approach, I hope to help you find and implement targeted solutions to your unique challenges.
